What if I prefer a hardcopy permission form for a student?


A: Where parents don’t have email communication with the school, Consent2go will automatically generate hardcopy documents for their children.

Q: Can I add documents when I create excursions and school events?


A: Yes. These attachments will also be provided to the parents and students.

Please note: Location maps and comment fields are also a standard element of Consent2go, so additional attachments may not be required.


Q: How many excursions and events can we create?


A: There is no limit to how many events and excursions a school can create each year.

Q: How many users can we have using the system?


A: Unlimited. If you want, every staff member can be given access to Consent2go by your schools administrator.

Q: What do we do if parents have technical questions?


A: Consent2go provides technical support to parents. Simply ask parents to email us.

Q: What if parents don’t have an email address?


A: Consent2go will automatically generate a printable PDF for students whose parents don’t have an email address.

Q: What happens if a parent changes email address and forgets to tell the school?


A: Consent2go will know when emailed invitations are not delivered. Teachers can SMS the parent from the system or print hard copy forms for their child.

Q: Can we collect payment for excursions and events?


A: Consent2go can advise parents if payment is required and provide the link to your school’s electronic payment gateway.

Q: Can I speak to someone at Consent2go?


A: Yes you can. Please email us and we’ll contact you within 72 hours.

Q: If my excursion is a mixed group, not just a class or year group, can I do this?


A: Yes, you can create your own customised group of students for your invitations.

Q: How can I receive training on how to use Consent2go?


A: Consent2go has been designed to avoid the need for instructions about how to create excursions and events. If you have a query please email us.

Q: If a student has been banned from School excursions, will they be invited accidentally?


A: No. There is a facility to identify and exclude students in these scenarios.

Q: How secure is the storage of information?


A: Consent2go server storage is always located in the country of origin where the information is provided. Additional detail can be provided upon request.

Q: Does Consent2go use the system to advertise to teachers and parents?


A: No Consent2go is an ‘Ad Free’ service.

Q: Do I need to be connected to the internet to create an excursion or event?


A: No, you can create the event offline. When you connect to the internet you’ll be able to send the invitations.

Q: What does Consent2go cost?


A: Schools pay a fixed annual amount, depending on the size of the school. Please email us for pricing information. Schools can also purchase blocks to cover the SMS cost. Your school can use the system for an unlimited number of events or excursions throughout the year.

For Parents & Guardians


Q: What if I don’t have an email address?


A: Consent2go will automatically generate a hard copy document(s) for your child. Their teacher will give this to them to bring home.

Q: Where do I download the app?


A: No app is required. All you need is an internet connection on any digital device. Simply follow the prompts on Consent2go.

Q: What if I prefer to receive a hardcopy notice from the school?


A: If you advise your school of this, Consent2go will automatically generate hardcopy notices for you.

Q: How much do I pay to use Consent2go?


A: The Consent2go system is free for parents. Your school pays an annual amount to use Consent2go.

Q: What happens if the school has the wrong email address for me?


A: If the email notification is returned, the school will SMS you to advise that the email on their file is not correct.

Pricing & Invoicing


Q: How does a school pay for the service?


A: Invoices are issued once you are set up and the school can immediately start using Consent2go. Payment is required within 30 days of the date of the invoice.

Q: How long does the contract to use Consent2go go for?


A: There is no lock-in contract. Consent2go will provide the service for 12 months as requested by the school. The school is free to stop using Consent2go at any time without incurring additional costs or fees.
